Sebi fines Axis MF former dealer for front-running
Sebi imposed penalties totaling ₹7.5 crore on Viresh Joshi and 20 others. The former Axis Mutual Fund chief dealer orchestrated a front-running scheme. He misused confidential information to generate illegal gains for himself. Joshi and Dubai-based trader Prijesh Kurani received seven-year market bans. The regulator found substantial illegal gains and significant market abuse.
